Maud would have had to been born by 1193 in order to be at least thirteen when she married Bigod. By Hugh, Maud had three sons: Roger (dsp1270) who married Isabel sister of Alexander of Scotland; Hugh (d1266) who married Joane, daughter of Robert Burnet; and Ralph who married Berta, daughter of the baron of Furnival. Hugh Bigod died in 1225, and Maud married William of Warenne, earl of Surrey and son of Hamelin Plantagenet, bastard of Geoffrey of Anjou. By William, Maud had two children: John de Warenne (d1304) who married Alice of Lusignan, and Isabella who married Hugh de Albini, earl of Sussex. William de Warenne died in 1240 and Maud died in 1245. Maud’s son Roger, by Hugh Bigod, became Earl Marshal in right of his mother.
